Billy started out in Brand Design before switching to advertising creative.
A writer by trade, Billy’s career started at iconic ad-shop HHCL in 2003, cutting his creative teeth on Sky, Captain Birdseye and Pot Noodle amongst many others, before jumping ship to Engine’s advertising arm WCRS in 2007.
Billy’s 12-year ascent from copywriter to Chief Creative Officer of Engine has been a marathon of populist power brands that engage huge audiences and change the fortunes of marketing directors and shareholders alike. The most notable of these are BMW, Sky, Royal Navy, Royal Marines Commandos, Royal Air Force, 118118, The Sun, News of The World, Warburtons, Santander, King Games and E.ON.
There’s nothing that Billy holds dearer than the belief that an idea can change the world, be it a brand or the planet.
