Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Strategist to join our team in London. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Strategy, you will help to lead the strategic thinking across a portfolio of clients, while being the lead on a selection of these clients. You will play an important role on client briefs and new business and be recognised for this by client and agency colleagues. You will begin to explore where you might specialise (in terms of type of strategy, or client vertical) and we will support you as you grow and develop to do this.


As Senior Strategist at Engine Creative , you will:

  •     Strategy lead across a portfolio of clients daily, and help to manage client relationships.
  •     Stay up-to-date with major trends and developments in field of expertise and share with colleagues.
  •     Research and analyse the strategic business context of a client and understand the role of communications as part of this
  •     Brief, facilitate and analyse qualitative and quantitative research.
  •     Run workshops with a range of clients and partners.
  •     Manage the creative development process with clients and our teams. Lead teams to deliver for clients.
  •     Help grow existing and new business – supporting account handling on pitches and new business developments.


You will bring:

  • Passion for ideas and the power of great creative work: you will be very comfortable discussing and evolving creative ideas                                  and be able to present and articulate these to clients.
  • Curiosity and passion about insight: You can draw clear insights from information and communicate these to non-experts and inspire others. You seek out diversity of thought and this is clear in your analyses and strategies.
  • Clarity of strategic thought: you can construct a clear, logical and inspirational strategy and lead the team and client to accomplish it.
  • Experience integrating the role of data in the creative process: You can analyse and draw conclusions from multiple data-sets and can discuss the role of data in communications. You can work with data experts and can translate between the worlds of creative and data.
