Your role and team

As a Senior Strategist in this team, you will be a strategic thinker working across a varied client portfolio within our strategy department. Playing a pivotal role on client briefs and new business and recognised for this by client and agency colleagues. You will develop your own thinking and expertise and contribute this to ENGINE Creative.

Here’s what you can look forward to if you are our next Senior Strategist at ENGINE:

  • You will be the day-to-day brand strategy lead across a varied portfolio of clients, helping to manage client relationships and get to the best creative output.
  • You’ll be generating unique/surprising/original solutions to problems.
  • You will manage the creative development process alongside clients and internal teams.
  • You’ll be up to date with major trends and developments in the industry and that of your client, and share with colleagues. Develop thought leadership and comment for agency and industry channels.
  • As part of this, you’ll know and understand the business strategy context of a client and understand the role of communications as part of this
  • You’ll be briefing, facilitating and analysing qualitative and quantitative research.
  • You will be running effective and engaging workshops with a range of clients and stakeholders.
  • You’ll support the growth of existing and new business – supporting account handling on pitches and new business developments.

  • Insightful and informed: You are interested in and able to speak confidently about topics outside your core area of expertise. You are able to draw clear insights from information and communicate these to non-experts.
  • Diversity of thought: You are aware of the need for a diversity of thought to solve a problem. You actively push yourself to understand different perspectives and ways of solving a problem and are confident with the ambiguity this might bring.
  • Creative-literate: Strategists are the first creative eyes on a problem, you will be very comfortable discussing and evolving creative ideas and able to present and articulate these to clients.
  • Data-literate: You are able to analyse and draw conclusions from multiple data-sets and are able to discuss the role of data in communications. You can work with data experts and are able to translate between the worlds of creative and data.
