The role (in a nutshell)

As a Resource Partner, you will report into the Head of Resource and be a key member of the resource management team.  You’ll be close to the day-to-day running of client campaigns and projects. You’ve got your ear to the ground and know what’s going on, so will be best placed to ensure agency talent are working on the right thing, agency process is being followed and issues are spotted quickly and resolved.

Your primary role is resource planning for our clients’ projects across a range of disciplines. You’ll work collaboratively with the project management team to understand and align resource to project timelines, scope, and budgets.

As our Resource Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • As part of the resource management team, you will work collaboratively to ensure a streamlined approach to resource allocation on cross-utilised resources.
  • Responsible for the resource management, planning and allocation, taking a min 4-week view, for confirmed projects for your assigned team and/or client/s.
  • Ensure resource bookings are aligned to project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Forward plan resources, top-line, for upcoming briefs in the pipeline and communicate the resource plan.
  • Ensure work is allocated based on skills sets, individual’s goals and ambitions and not just on availability.
  • Manage conflicting resource requests and work collaboratively with client services and project management to agree priorities and resolve clashes.
  • Manage freelance requests and make a business case to the Head of Resource for freelance sign-off.
  • Manage the inevitable day-to-day changes to resource plans and resolve or escalate any wider impact.
  • Run the weekly resource meeting and own the output actions.
  • Update projects in Float to add key milestones to ensure you understand the milestone we are working towards - and align resources accordingly.
  • Book resources in Float, ensuring it is up to date and a valuable, current source of information.
  • Identify and communicate any upcoming resource availability.
  • Champion of agency process and go-to person for one page ‘how to’ on process.
  • Collaborate with the Resource Coordinator on signed off freelance requirements.

What experience and skills do you have?

●      2-3 years resource management experience - preferably in an integrated creative agency.

●      A good understanding of agency disciplines across strategy, creative, design and digital.

●      A good understanding of project process and project delivery.

●      Commercial aware, you’ll understand freelance budgets and rate cards.
