The Role

We are hiring entry level Quality Assurance Analysts for a 6-week project. This would be a 6-week FTC with a possibility of an extension. The project starts by 1st week of August, 2022 and would include weekend work.

You’ll be working alongside our team of experienced QA analysts, project managers, coders and graphic production artists ranging from entry level to lead level, on a top 5 leading multinational technology company’s marketing website.

Working as part of the QA team at Engine, you’ll be involved in all daily aspects of front-end testing for client websites on both new and pre-existing builds.

  • Manage and influence projects from start to finish, delivering a high-quality service, on time, to our web site clients.
  • Work with internal teams, the client, and third-party vendors delivering the project from briefing to deployment.

Note – the role will have a technical slant to it and a background in front-end HTML is considered essential.

There is also no backend testing involved.

What are the main responsibilities?

  • Testing (Visual and Regression) website development projects to ensure the work carried out is to the highest client standards and within agreed deadlines.
  • Working in an efficient manner by managing your own time according to deadlines and daily workload priorities.
  • Developing an encyclopaedic knowledge of our clients’ websites and excellent relationships with internal teams.
  • Clear and accurate communications in all reporting, written and verbal communications.
  • Contribution to process improvements and always look out for ways to improve our service delivery.
  • Ensuring the principal of ‘good isn’t good enough’ is considered in every action and decision.
  • Represent Engine in a professional manner at all times.

 

What are the skills we want?

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, often under pressure.
  • In depth knowledge of HTML, CSS.
  • Beneficial if you have experience in developing web sites either in-house or in a media agency.
  • Beneficial if you have exposure to multi-lingual web sites.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Prioritisation and Time Management.
  • Quick learner and able to pick up systems and workflows quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of issue tracking software.
  • Experience with cross browser/device testing.
  • MacOS/iOS 
  • Using VMs and simulators.

 

Nice to have experience/working knowledge of:

  • Automated testing, JIRA use/administration, macOS/iOS.
