Engine first started working with Santander when it was still called Abbey back in 2005, helping the company successfully rebrand and continue to grow its brand in the UK - across both Retail and Corporate and Commercial. Santander now captures more current account switchers than any other bank and was recently named as the new sponsor of TfL Cycle Hire.
Engine worked closely with Santander in developing the sponsorship strategy behind Santander Cycles, which we later launched.
Hot on the heels of creating the iconic landmark graphics seen on the bikes themselves, WCRS collaborated with Slice on the ‘Summer of Cycling’. A series of exclusive cycling experiences at some of London’s most iconic attractions and venues. As part of this campaign, Deep Focus delivered a social media activation called ‘Summer Rides’, announcing new routes each with different challenges, from scenic and enchanting to demanding and exciting, as well as enabling cyclists to unlock rewards when they use #SantanderCycles.
WCRS have led on a through-the-line campaign to support this activity, including dynamic digital 6-sheets showing you bike availability at your nearest docking station, all pointing towards a Summer of Cycling microsite developed with Partners Andrews Aldridge.
