Can the power of sound take you somewhere you’ve always wanted to go? Bose, the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team and Synergy were incredibly excited to create a ground-breaking new experiential activation that launched at the US Grand Prix in Austin. Using a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 Noise-Cancelling Wireless headphones, race fans went into one of the most exclusive places in sport: the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS garage during the final moments before the cars go out onto the track. Using Bose lightweight, comfortable QC35 headphones, users could explore the garage—listening in on the conversations between the drivers and engineers, hearing the whirring of the wheel gun and feeling the heart-pounding moment when the car leaves the garage—all in immersive, clear 3D sound.
This experience pushed new boundaries by creating a full 3D sonic landscape, giving the user the complete freedom to move around and explore it in any way they wanted. Because of that, no two experiences were ever the same. Nearly 4,000 fans came to the downtown venue in Austin to explore the Bose MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS garage, and the feedback was absolutely brilliant. View the digital version online here.
