ENGINE PRIDE: LAUNCHING OUR LGBT+ NETWORK WITH 10000 POST ITS

5TH JULY 2017

We're feeling the love at Engine London HQ today with the help of almost 10,000 post it notes (9835 to be precise) in honour of the launch of Engine LGBT+, our new LGBT+ network.

To celebrate the network—and our new partnership with LGBT+ charity stonewall—a team of volunteers worked overnight to create a giant rainbow-coloured ‘Love Happens Here’ location pin across one side of our Great Portland Street office. The installation ties into this year’s Pride in London ‘Love Happens Here’ campaign, created by WCRS, and will remain in place for the Pride in London parade taking place this weekend.

Founded by staff from across our 14 different businesses, the new network has been set up to support Engine’s LGBT+ community and champion a safe, inclusive and positive work environment. It is funded by Engine, and will be organising regular events and talks for staff, as well as working closely with our HR and management teams to ensure our policies are up to scratch.

Today, on our first ever Engine Pride Day, we'll be hosting speakers from Stonewall and Pride in London at an event in our bar and celebrating our current LGBT+ staff by sharing stories on twitter.
